Story

Get to Know Us

The Bike Club began at one of the primary schools on the Shore in April 2025 and received very positive feedback from both children and parents. With such a positive response, the club has quickly grown, and we’re excited to now share it with more children.

About us

Riders Ready Bike Club was founded by Nikita and Kenna, combining their passion for cycling with professional experience in coaching, education and child development.

What began as teaching their own children and friends to ride has grown into an established bike school delivering structured cycling programmes for children of different ages and abilities.

Nikita is an experienced children's cycling coach with a background in adventure sports, psychology and team leadership. Kenna is a registered teacher with extensive expertise in child psychology, early childhood education and development. Together, they bring a unique combination of practical cycling knowledge and educational expertise to the programme.

Today, Riders Ready is supported by a dedicated team of experienced coaches and assistant coaches who successfully deliver regular after-school bike clubs, school holiday programmes and weekend coaching sessions.

Our programmes are designed to develop essential cycling skills, confidence, coordination and independence through progressive, age-appropriate instruction. From beginners learning to balance and pedal to more advanced riders developing mountain biking and technical riding skills, we provide structured coaching tailored to individual abilities.

At Riders Ready, we believe cycling offers far more than physical activity. It develops resilience, problem-solving skills, perseverance and a sense of achievement while encouraging active, healthy lifestyles.

Our mission is to equip young riders with the skills, confidence and knowledge to enjoy cycling safely, independently and for life.
